It all began in my grandmother’s closet – a space filled with color, confidence, and stories. Slipping into one of her vintage pieces for the first time, I felt something click: fashion finally fit, not just my body, but who I was. My grandmother, a modern-day size 14, dressed with intention and fearlessness, choosing clothing that reflected her energy.

When I inherited some of her clothes, I didn’t just discover my personal style – I discovered how transformative clothing can be. I began to see it as a tool for self-expression, confidence, and belonging, and I realized how powerful it is when someone feels truly seen in what they wear.

That perspective naturally evolved into my work as a personal stylist. Through sourcing vintage, reworking garments, and pairing people with pieces that feel unmistakably theirs, I learned how to read bodies, personalities, and lifestyles – not just sizes. Styling became about connection: finding the perfect item for the right person, and introducing designers who understand and design for plus-size bodies.

Now, I run Berriez full-time from an ever-evolving studio in Brooklyn. I style clients, build collaborations, and source pieces that center curves, color, and self-expression. My mission is simple: make fashion fun and accessible for people who’ve spent too long on the sidelines. Because getting dressed should feel like a joy, not a compromise.
